Murli Nambiar has over three decades of experience. He was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery of Indian Army in 1982. He held various command, instructional and staff assignments during his career of over 25 years in the Indian Army. Has been a veteran of several operations, participated in IPKF operations in Sri Lanka, Kargil war and in insurgency operations in J&K. While in Army he was selected to lead the Indian NCC delegation to Singapore in 2005 for International Cadet Exchange Program. He had the distinction of sending maximum students to represent India in youth exchange programs at UK, Singapore, Sri Lanka. Received the ‘Best Institution’ awards for both Boys and Girls wing awarded by NCC Directorate Karnataka and Goa, while heading the NCC outfit.

After the Army stint, he did the regular ‘Executive Management Program’ from XLRI Jamshedpur. There after he joined ‘Tutor Vista’ a start- up company as Head HR and Operations. Did three successful merger and acquisitions (M&A) in this tenure. Thereafter he was Head HR of Edurite Technologies and Pearson Education Services.

After his tenure with Pearson, Murli joined ‘Manipal Global Education’ as Head HR and was responsible for the entire HR activities of more than 5000 employees of both corporate and University set up in India, Malaysia, Dubai, Nepal, and Antigua. He was a Board of Director of Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG) Nepal from 2014 to 2020. Thereafter he served as COO of MEMG Nepal at Pokhara, managing a 750 bed hospital, a medical college and other business interests of Manipal group in Nepal.

He is the founder of ‘Career to Campus Consulting’ which aims to provide career counselling, profile building and admission guidance for higher education to students and working professionals.
